I see you across the city
mall,
I stop for a second, and almost fall,
it has been months, yet it's all the same,
I stop myself from screaming your name.
I stop for a second, and almost fall,
it has been months, yet it's all the same,
I stop myself from screaming your name.
But you see me anyway, and walk towards me,
I straighten my hair, as my reflection I see,
My heart races on, and my fingers ache,
I remember our last time, by the lake.
I remember our last time, by the lake.
In a second a woman becomes a girl again,
as my eyes reflect all of my pain,
and then, as if magically, it all goes away,
I smile at you and talk about the day.
I go home that evening, feeling light,
finally over you, I exclaim with delight,
and I dream again that very night,
about a shining Armour and a Knight.
